We are delighted to introduce Domaine Les Monts Fournois, a new Champagne estate based around the eponymous monopole at the northern end of the premier cru of Ludes in the Montagne de Reims. The champagnes were introduced to the market for the first time only last year. Wine Source is the sole importer in UK.

The first vintage of the champagnes grown on this monopole was 2022: a dream vintage that will be available from 2027. Until then, the Domaine will release every year under its own label a very small selection of vintage Grand Cru Champagne sourced from exceptional growers working iconic vineyards across the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne.

Born in Champagne to a grower’s family, oenologue and manager of Domaine Les Monts Fournois Juliette Alips rapidly found her passion. With the mentorship of her close cousins, Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche, she is making use of her extensive experience of producing champagne, from farming and harvesting to vinification, tasting, and blending.

After graduating from enology school in Beaune in 2020, Juliette worked vintages with acclaimed producers, including Louis Latour in Bourgogne, G.D. Vajra in Piedmont, and closer to home, Louis Roederer in Champagne, where she spent more than a year learning from this iconic Maison. Now, with the help of her two cousins, she is starting a new adventure: Domaine Les Monts Fournois.
